STUDY ESSAY CONTEST
The United States Embasy in Uzbekistan announces student essay contest that makes avalible laptop omputers, digital photo cameras and other prizes for winners. Students from all viloyats of Uzbekistan are encouraged to participate.
PARTICIPANT CATEGORIES:
Category A: Secondary school, academic lyceum and college students aged 14-17
Category B: University and institute students aged 17-22
Prizes:
1st prizes: Laptop computers
2nd prizes: Digital photo cameras
3rd prizes: English language books
Subject: Your essay must address one of the following topics:
– United States of America: Through the eyes of an Uzbek student
– Uzbekistan’s role in the international War agaings terrorism
– The role of the Internet in Modern Societies
– How to protect the enviromnent in an Industrialized economy
Essays: Essays must be typped in English and double-spaced and be 1000-1200 words (for category A students) and 1200 – 1500 words (for category B students). Students can base thir essay on interviews, research, and/or personal opinion. In addition to the essay, students are required to send the following information about themselves:
1. Full name
2. Date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy)
3. Gender
4. Place of study
5. major (if applicable)
6. Address
7. City/Town
8. Region
9. phone ()please include the city code
10. e-mail address
Deadline: the U.S. Embassy will pick up all the essays from the National UZTEA Office located at 48, Navoi street, Tashkent, Chorsu Foreign Language Learinig Center, room 68, third floor, no latter than December 15, 2005

Dear sirs and madam,
I am particularly happy to take part in that competition though I was informed just only one week ago by chance.I am intending to send out my essay by Taxi to the National Office as long as there is no online adminitration who can easily pick up all the essays.As you see,I am from Ferghana and therefore I have got to use only this way,Isn’t it?
